Susan Ketron began singing from a red-back hymnal in a small white country church. Her
grandfather was a preacher, and by the age of three, Susan was in front of the congregation
singing “I’m in the Lord’s Army.” Shortly thereafter, her mother took Susan to pick out her first
accompaniment tape. She chose "It's My Desire" and was singing it the following Sunday in
church. Throughout Susan's high school years, she sang in church cantatas in local area
churches. After completing her college education at Concord College and Duke University, Susan
moved to TN and worked as a licensed Medical Technologist. Susan's parents had suggested she
major in something other than music. :)
A few years ago, changes in Susan's life brought her and her family back to Susan's home state
of West Virginia, and God's plan for Susan's life began to unfold. She was invited to sing on local
television and radio programs and in local churches. Within a few months, Susan was working
with Lamon Records and had the opportunity to record her first Cd, "From the Heart", which
includes a duet with Adam Crabb from Crabb Revival. Less than a year later when she was singing
in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, Susan met record producer Shane Roark. Shortly thereafter she
recorded with Chapel Valley Studios, and "Treasures", her second Cd was released in September
2009. In October 2010, Susan's third Cd "Merry Christmas" was released and brought many more
blessings for which she is thankful!
Susan is currently working on a fourth project, hoping to be released in 2012!
